Greece stocks higher at closing of trade

ATHENS: Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Household, Basic Resources and Construction sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 1.42%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr), which rose 8.01% or 0.330 points to trade at 4.450 at the close. Meanwhile, Metka (AT:MTKr) added 4.70% or 0.32 points to end at 7.13 and Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) was up 4.24% or 0.565 points to 13.885 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which fell 19.90% or 0.078 points to trade at 0.314 at the close. Iaso (AT:IASr) declined 4.66% or 0.027 points to end at 0.552 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was down 3.77% or 0.004 points to 0.101.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 30 and 23 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.13% or 1.55 to $1228.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $48.75 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $51.74 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.0747, while EUR/GBP fell 0.29% to 0.8686.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 100.13.
