ATHENS: Greece will meet the Brussels Group this weekend, which in addition to the commission and Greece officials also includes the International Monetary Fund and the European Central Bank in these talks said officials.
Progress on a list of overhauls that the Greece government will implement in return for sustained aid has stalled in recent weeks, despite regular warnings from Athens that it may soon run out of money.
Finance ministers and other key officials are also discussing Greece’s financial situation on the sidelines of the IMF spring meeting in Washington. But several ministers have warned they don’t expect a political deal on the overhauls and next aid disbursements at the next meeting of eurozone finance chiefs in Riga late next week.
