ATHENS: There was a small rise for the Athens stock exchange’s general index on Tuesday after another day of subdued trading. The index rose 0.36 percent to 562.4 points.
There were increases for 52 stocks, while 13 remain unchanged and 28 declined. Mytilineos was up 2.87 percent, followed by Terna Energy, which increased by 2.66 percent.
National Bank led the way for local lenders, with its share price heading up 2.23 percent. In contrast, Eurobank’s shares tumbled 3.16 percent. Overall, though, trading on the bourse was thin. Turnover for the day reached 17 million euros.
