Greeks’ tax debts keep growing

ATHENS: June saw the addition of 1.2 billion euros in new tax arrears, taking the total unpaid debt to the state for this year to 6.8 billion, according to figures published by the General Secretariat of Information Systems (GSIS) on Thursday.

When the amount of arrears amassed this year is added to the legacy debt of previous years, the total comes to 89.8 billion euros.
