GSP help desk to be established at TDAP

KARACHI: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan is to set up a GSP Plus helpdesk in Karachi and develop a mobile application on the iOS, Android & Windows platform to facilitate exporters.

TDAP Acting Chief Executive Rabia Javeri informed about the roadmap designed by TDAP for making the most of duty advantage scheme. She was a speaking at a seminar for the newly granted GSP Plus status to Pakistan. She said that despite resource constraints TDAP would take all measures to help and facilitate exporters.

Bashir Ali Muhammad from Gul Ahmed Textiles proposed that all chambers and associations should establish a GSP Plus cell and coordinate with TDAP and the Ministry of Commerce to address any issues in this regard.

Head WTO Cell of TDAP, Mujeeb Ahmed Khan, informed about the legal bindings and obligations for implementation of the scheme and the details of all the conventions.
