Gujranwala Customs Intelligence impounds non-duty paid Prado worth Rs3m

SIALKOT: The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Gujranwala impounded a non-duty paid Prado worth Rs 3 million at Chan Da Qila, GT road Gujranwala.

According to details, Customs Intelligence team comprising Inspector Syed Majid Raza and constables Usama, Mubashir, Sajid Raza and Boota were on routine checking of vehicles on GT road Gujranwala. The team intercepted a Prado bearing registration number BS-6763-Sindh at Chan Da Qila, GT road Gujranwala which was coming from Sheikhupura and heading towards Lahore.

The team asked driver named Muhammad Ali to provide customs duty paid documents of the vehicle but the driver was failed to produce the required legal documents. After his failure, the team seized non-duty paid vehicle and shifted it to the compound of Customs Gujranwala.

The team has forwarded the case to Customs Adjudication for further proceeding. The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Gujranwala is on the swing in its region to curb smuggled and non-duty paid goods as for as vehicles.
