Gujranwala division: Excise forms 70 teams to recover Rs 2.10b from defaulters

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department Gujranwala division has constituted 70 special recovery teams and these teams have started a special campaign to recover Rs 2.10 billion from tax defaulters in Gujranwala division’s all the six districts.

An official of the Excise and Taxation Department said the teams will recover Rs 16.5 million as excise duty, Rs  88.5 million as professional tax, Rs 900 million as property tax, Rs 888 million as motor registration tax and Rs 7.65 million as recreation tax from all the defaulters during this special recovery campaign in the region.
