Gujranwala Excise assigned Rs 2.13b target for property, motor tax

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department has fixed Rs 2.13 billion target in the wake of property and motor tax for Gujranwala for the fiscal year 2016-17.

According to senior officials, the excise teams will recover Rs 1.15 billion under the head of property tax and Rs 972 million as motor token tax.

The officials added that Rs 463 million recovery target of the property tax has been fixed for Gujranwala district, Rs 289 million for Sialkot district, Rs 266 million for Gujrat district, Rs 35 million for Hafizabad district, Rs 65 million for Mandi Bahauddin district and Rs 42 million for Narowal district.

In motor/token tax category, a target of Rs 360 million has been assigned to Gujranwala district, Rs 310.3 million to Sialkot district, Rs 192 million to Gujrat district, Rs 40.6 million to Hafizabad district, Rs 10.6 million to Mandi Bahauddin district and Rs 29.3 million to Narowal district.
