SIALKOT: The special teams of Excise and Taxation Department have sealed as many as 250 commercial buildings due to prolonged non-payment of their outstanding dues in various parts of the city.
The teams sealed the commercial buildings on the special directives of Director Rao Shakeel Ur Rehman. These buildings were located on Sialkot Road, Race Course Road, Sui Gas Road, Gill Road, DC Road, Civil Lines, Girjaakh, Dhulley, Fareed Town and Peoples’ Colony.
The Excise Department had repeatedly issued recovery notices to the owners of the commercial buildings, but they remained reluctant to pay their outstanding arrears for a long time.
