Gujranwala IR succeeds in broadening tax base: Commissioner Mansur Ahmed

SIALKOT: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Inland Revenue (IR) Gujranwala Commissioner Mansur Ahmed Bajwa has said that the field formation has achieved its target of bringing maximum people under the tax net, saying that it has brought 400 new taxpayers into the tax net in Gujranwala.

He disclosed this while addressing an important meeting of the local business community held at Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).

The commissioner assured the businessmen that all out sincere and positive efforts were being made to resolve all the issues of the Gujranwala business community.

Bajwa also stressed the need for promoting mutual working relationship between the FBR officials and the businessmen, besides reducing the communication gap from both sides to build up a strong mutual confidence.

He said that all the refund claims and exemption certificates cases of the Gujranwala business community have been cleared, saying that the other pending cases would also be cleared very soon, enabling the businessmen to work hard with full devotion, dedication, enthusiasm and complete peace of mind to boost the national economy as well.

Mansur Ahmed Bajwa termed the promotion of industrial and trade development vital for national economical stability.

President Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) Sami Ullah Naeem presented the welcome address and effectively highlighted prolonged perturbing problems of the local businessmen.
