Gunny bags distribution to start on 25th

MULTAN: The distribution of gunny bags will start on April 25 in the district.

This was said by District Food Controller Muhammad Aslam talking to APP here on Sunday. He said 227,000 metric ton wheat procurement target had been fixed for the district. He said five percent gunny-bags would be distributed on each day while gunny-bags would be provided to small growers having less than 12.5 acre land during first five days.

He said the distribution of gunny bags would continue by May 24 and the provincial government was committed to continue wheat procurement process till last grain of wheat from growers.

Aslam said 16 wheat procurement centres had been set up across the district while the procurement would start from April 28.
