TOKYO: Just last week, we did a story on Square Enix and Dimps teaming up to create a new fighting game.
The significance there was that Dimps was closely involved in the creation of Street Fighter 4 and SFxT, and with some interesting speculations about Square Enix being involved with Street Fighter Five, eyes are shifting in these company’s directions.
The plot thickens as we find yet another possible clue in our speculation of the teaming up between Square Enix and Capcom.
Gunslinger Stratos 2, which has been out for about a year, just came out with DLC costumes for some of its characters. You can see some of these costumes below:
This seems a bit random does it not? Sure, it’s cool that they’d take some of the characters from Ultra Street Fighter 4 and put them in a third-person light gun shooter, but why?
One could easily argue that Square Enix doesn’t really need a reason. Street Fighter is a fairly recognizable name and it wouldn’t be too farfetched to think that some of the fans of Gunslinger Stratos would also be fans of SF.
Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, hit the jump to see the video featuring the new character skins.
