KARACHI: Customs Gwadar has recovered 200 drums of smuggled Iranian diesel and arrested two persons during a crackdown.
Sources informed Customs Today that Collector Gwadar Saeed Akram received secret information about smuggling of 7,000 liters Iranian diesel. He formed a customs team under the supervision of Deputy Collector Aftab Shah who intercepted a truck and recovered 200 drums of Iranian diesel.
After seeing the customs team, the driver of the vehicle tried to flee away but he was arrested by the authorities. The Customs team seized the Iranian diesel and forwarded the case to customs adjudication for further proceedings.
