Gwadar Customs collects Rs34.11b during FY21

GWADAR: Collectorate of Customs Gwadar collected has collected Rs34.11 billion of duty and taxes during FY21 by surpassing the assigned revenue collection targets by Federal Board of Revenue.

According to the details, Collectorate of Customs Gwadar had collected Rs19.33 billion during FY20, and this year’s collection is 76.3 percent or Rs15 billion higher than the previous year’s collection. Three Customs Stations at Iran border collected Rs2.29 billion in FY21, up 183 percent from Rs810 million collected in the previous year. Rs13.73 billion were collected from ship-breaking compared with Rs1.5 billion collected in previous year.

The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) also surpassed the assigned target for FY21 and seized smuggled goods worth Rs3.25 billion. The seized goods smuggled vehicles, Iranian diesel, Gutka, medicine, betel nut, auto parts, electronics and other miscellaneous goods. Last, Gwadar ASO seized smuggled goods worth Rs1.28 billion.

It is necessary to mention here that Member Customs Tariq Huda and Chief Collector Gul Rehman congratulated Collector Gwadar Tahir Qureshi, Additional Collectors Ghulam Haider Mir, Shoib Qazi and other staff of Gwadar Customs.
