Gwadar Customs confiscates 20kg charas, 22 laptops

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate Gwadar has seized smuggled laptops and 20 kilogram of drugs in separate operations.

As per details, Gwadar Customs Collector Saeed Akram received information that a huge quantity of drugs would be smuggled from Afghanistan. Following the information, the collector made a team comprising Preventive staff and directed them to establish pickets on Gwadar Road.

The team during the checking recovered 20kg of charas, which was concealed in the boxes used for eggs.

On the other hand, the officials raided a shop and seized 22 pieces of smuggled laptops. The officials said that customs conducted 17 operations against smugglers during December, 2015 and confiscated smuggled diesel, petrol, cloth, cigarette, drugs, plastic granules and other items worth in millions.
