Gwadar Customs impounds smuggled Iranian diesel worth Rs107m

GWADAR: Collectorate of Customs with the assistance of FC seized 356,000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel along with the transporting vehicles worth Rs107 million.

Sources told Customs Today that after the instructions of Chief Collector Balochistan Gul Rehman, Collector Gwadar Tahir Qureshi has directed his staff to make all out efforts against smuggling of Irani diesel.

Additional Collector Ghulam Haider Maiser advised Deputy Collector Falak Sher and Superintendent Saeed Baloch to enhace vigilance on the movement of smuggled goods.

During patrolling at night, MCC Gwadar Panjgur team intercepted nine Hino Trucks of various sizes and seized 356,000 liters Irani diesel along with Hino Trucks.

This is the biggest seizure of diesel in a single day by the Collectorate at Panjgur N-85 National Highway.

For the last 40 days Panjgur Customs with the assistance of FC recovered 5,53000 liters foreign origin diesel and also seized 16 oil tankers/Hino trucks.
