KARACHI: The Customs Collectorate Gwadar authorities seized smuggled goods worth Rs 34 million during the first ten days of June.
Sources informed Customs Today that Collector Gwadar Saeed Akram received information about smuggling attempts after which he constituted different teams. These teams conducted raids at different places and recovered 200 kilograms of fine quality hashish, 36,000 liters of Iranian diesel, 100 bottles of foreign liquor and a huge quantity of non-duty paid watches and cigarettes.
Customs team also impounded different non-duty paid vehicles during crackdowns. It is necessary to mention here that Customs Gwadar recovered Rs18 million smuggled goods during first fifteen days of May.
