Gwadar Customs recovers huge quantity of narcotics during crackdown

KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate Gwadar team recovered huge quantity of narcotics during intelligence base operation (IBO) conducted in Ormara.

According to the details, Customs Gwadar authorities received credible information that huge quantity of narcotics being smuggled through sea area. Customs authorities immediately constituted a team. The team intercepted a coaster bearing registration no. LA-452 coming from Gwadar and were heading towards Hyderabad. During checking the customs team recovered 9 kilograms of fine quality hashish. The hashish was tactfully hidden in the secret parts of the vehicle.  Customs team arrested two persons who were board of the vehicle. The market value of seized narcotics is Rs1 million.

During another operation anti smuggling squad of Gwadar customs raided a godown and recovered 50 cans of non duty paid Iranian brake oil.  Customs team asked the owner of the godown to produce legal documents regarding possession of brake oil but he failed to show any legal documents. Customs team seized the entire brake oil and registered a case of smuggling against accused person.
