Gwadar Customs seizes 10kg charas

KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate, Gwadar, has seized a huge quantity of narcotics during successful raid in the area of Bar while two persons were arrested.

Officials told Customs Today that during the first 10 days of October, the department seized a huge quantity of Iranian diesel, Iranian petrol and other contraband items during various raids in the area of Gwader.

Collector Saeed Akram received information some elements were planning to smuggle narcotics from out of the city through a car. On this he informed the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and instructed them to curb the smuggling. The team formed check post at main entry and exit points of the city and started the checking vehicles.

During the checking of vehicles the ASO team intercepted a suspicious car near Ishaq Shaheed Check-Post. During the search of the vehicle the team recovered 10 kilogram charas from the cavities of the car. ASO officials seized the charas and arrested two persons. Officials said that the value of seized narcotics is Rs800000 in international market.
