KARACHI: Customs Collectorate, Gwadar has seized 22,000 litre Iranian oil during a successful raid while two persons were arrested.
Collector Saeed Akram received information that some elements were planning to smuggle Iranian oil. On this he informed the anti-smuggling team and instructed them to curb the smuggling. On the special instructions of collector the team established check points at Pasni Road and started the checking of vehicles. During the checking of vehicles the team intercepted an oil tanker. During the search of the tanker the team recovers 22,000 litre Iranian oil. The customs officials asked the driver to provide the customs clearance documents but he remained failed. Officials said that the value of seized oil is more than Rs1.3 million.
