Gwadar Customs seizes 22,000 litre Iranin diesel worth Rs 1.3m

KARACHI: Model Customs Collectorate, Gwadar, has seized a huge quantity of Iranian diesel during a successful raid while two persons were arrested during the action.

Collector Saeed Akram received information that some elements were planning to smuggle Iranian diesel from out of the city. On this, an ASO team established check point at exit point of the Omara near Shaheed chock and started the checking of vehicles. During the checking of vehicles the team intercepted an oil tanker and found 22,000 litre Iranian diesel. The team asked the driver to produce legal documents of the oil but he was failed to produce the same. Therefore the team seized the oil and arrested two persons who were involved in smuggling. Officials said that the value of seized diesel is more than Rs 1.3 million in market.
