Gwadar Customs seizes air conditioners, fans and truck worth Rs 7.2m

KARACHI: The Model Customs Collectorate Gwadar’s anti-smuggling staff has confiscated smuggled items along with offending vehicle worth Rs 7.2 million during an action.

Gwadar Customs Collector Saeed Akram received information regarding the smuggling of air conditioners and charging fans on which he formed a team under the supervision of additional collector.

The team established check posts at every exit point of the city. Meanwhile, a Customs team intercepted a truck and recovered 30 air conditioners and over 50 pieces of charging fans.

The staff demanded documents regarding legal import but the driver remained fail to do the same; therefore, the recovered items along with truck were confiscated under the customs laws.
