The collector conveyed information to Deputy Collector Abid Hussain Hakro who formed an anti-smuggling team to establish check post at exit point of the city. The officials intercepted a bus and recovered 200 kilogram of high quality charas concealed in hidden boxes and 50 bottles liquor. The customs impounded the bus and drugs worth over Rs 10 million besides arresting the bus driver and his helper. A case has been registered against them.

Meanwhile, the anti-smuggling staff intercepted a truck during another action near Loralai Check Post and recovered eight engines of luxury vehicles and two chassis frames.

The officials asked the driver to show documents regarding legal import of the engines and auto parts but he could not produce the same; therefore, the officials seized the items along with truck and arrested two people in this raid.
