Gwadar Customs seizes huge quantity of electronics goods worth Rs6m

GWADAR: Collectorate of Customs team seized huge quantity of electronics accessories including juicer blenders, charging items, (fans, LED lights) extra worth Rs 6 million including vehicle being used for smuggling.

Sources told Customs Today  on 16-11-2018 that Deputy Collector Junaid Mehmood received secret information that some smugglers are trying to smuggle electronics accessories include juicer blenders, charging items, (fans, LED lights) extra from Gwadar to different cities.

After receiving this information, he constituted a raiding team under the supervision of Customs Preventive Inspector  Rao Imran, Pasha Zulfiqar and others. The team, during a search operation on Gwadar Exit Way , intercepted a vehicle bearing registration no: GBM-8372.

During search, the team impounded more than 200 piece of different kind of juicer blenders, 200 piece of charging fans and 1000 piece of LED lights, different kinds of power codes  valued at Rs 6  million including truck being used in smuggling. The team seized all smuggled items and arrested truck driver. Sources told that customs official started investigations from accused person.
