Gwadar Customs seizes non duty paid juices, gutkha worth Rs7.15m

GWADAR: The Customs Collectorate has seized large quantity of Iranian Juices, and Indian Gutkha worth Rs 7.15 million on Saturday morning..

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Collector Gwadar received secret information that some smugglers are trying to smuggle packets of Iranian Juices, and Indian Gutkha out of Gwadar city.

He constituted a raiding team of the Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) under the supervision of Customs Preventive Inspector Suleman Mehmood and Basit Ali Rizvi. The team, during a search operation near Bar area, Main Road and intercepted truck bearing registration number QZZ.5470. During the search operation, the team impounded 2000 packets of Iranian juices and a large quantity of Indian Gutkha worth Rs 7.15 million.

The team took into possession all smuggling items and arrested smugglers.  Sources told that investigations are still going on from arrested person, after investigation FIR will be registered against smugglers.
