Gwadar regains global attraction as 14629-tonne cargo vessel docks at port

GWADAR: The Gwadar Port is witnessing a steady rise in commercial activity as confidence among global shipping companies begins to return.

According to the report, cargo vessel MV Riva Glory arrived at Gwadar Port carrying 14,629 metric tonnes of cargo, marking another positive development for the strategically important port.

Federal Minister for Pakistan Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said commercial activities at the port are accelerating, reflecting renewed trust by international shipping firms.

The federal minister also noted that increasing vessel traffic is a clear indication of Gwadar Port’s growing strategic significance in regional trade and shipping.

The minister said the government is taking concrete steps to make the port system more efficient, active and operational, ensuring that investors and shipping companies are provided with full facilities at Gwadar Port.

Junaid Anwar Chaudhry emphasised that the rise in cargo ship arrivals is enhancing the port’s importance as a hub for transit and transshipment trade in the region.

Maritime Minister Junaid reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transforming Gwadar into a world-class marine gateway, capable of competing with leading ports globally.
