Hajj operation completes at Multan International Airport

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs has completed Hajj operation at the Multan International Airport. Customs made special arrangements to facilitate Hajj pilgrims at the Multan International Airport.

According to details, Multan Customs has made special measures for Hajj pilgrims during Hajj flight operations from Multan International Airport. There were 42 different Hajj flights departed from Multan International Airport to Jeddah and Madina during current year. Almost 9300 Hajj pilgrims were handled at Multan International Airport due to special arrangements of customs through 42 flights.

Multan Customs deployed 52 customs employees at Multan International Airport to facilitate Hajj pilgrims during this year. Customs employees were assigned special duties in three different shifts to facilitate Hajj pilgrims. The strength of customs staff at Multan International Airport already increased in order to tighten the vigilance during Hajj operations.

Customs staff deputed at Multan International Airport has ensured proper scanning of every pilgrim in order to avoid any sort of smuggling.

Almost 24 various flights of Pakistan International Airline departed after taking Haj pilgrims from Multan to Madina Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and 18 flights  have also departed from Multan International Airport to Jeddah during this Hajj season.

Customs Officials have also conducted surprise visits at Multan International airport in order to check scrutiny and arrangements from Customs staff at during Hajj Operations.

Multan Customs and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) have made comprehensive examination the luggage of passengers in order to prevent any sort of smuggling from Multan.
