Haroon Akhtar, Nisar Khan to visit RTOs, LTU on Nov 7

LAHORE: Special Adviser to Prime Minster on Revenue Haroon Akhtar Khan, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Nisar Muhammad Khan and Inland Revenue Operations Member Dr Muhammad Irshad will visit Regional Tax Offices (RTO) and Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU) in Lahore on November 7, 2016.

During the visit, the high ups will review the performance of the RTOs and LTU during ongoing fiscal year 2016-17. The performance of first quarter and October will be reviewed regarding the tax collections.

The officers will also hold meetings with RTO-I Chief Commissioner Tasneem Rehman, RTO-II Chief Commissioner Khawja Adnan Zaheer, LTU Chief Commissioner Chaudhary Safdar Hussain, commissioners and other officials of RTOs and LTU in order to discuss the strategies to improve the revenue collection in second quarter.

Nisar Muhammad Khan, Dr Irshad and Haroon Akhtar Khan will also motivate all officers to expedite the recovery process and tax collection in order to realise the revenue targets by the end of running tax year.

It may be mentioned here that IR-Operations Member Dr Irshad already paid a visit to Lahore RTOs and LTU on October 25 where he held meeting with lawyers’ community. He also directed the revenue officials to put maximum efforts in meeting the targets. He also directed the officers to focus on broadening of tax base.
