Haroon, Pasha to preside over fourth chief commissioners moot today

ISLAMABAD: The fourth two-day chief commissioners conference will be held on on January 6-7,  2018, on Saturday (today ) and Sunday at the Federal Board of Revenue Headquarters at 11am to review the performance of the Large Tax Payers Units, Corporate Regional Tax Offices and Regional Tax Offices.

Advisor to the Prime Minister on Revenue Haroon Akhtar and Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Tariq Pasha will preside over the meeting while Member Inland Revenue operation Khawaja Tanveer Ahmed, Member Inland Revenue Policy Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Member FATE Nausheen Amjad Javaid , Special Assistant to Chairman FBR Zubair Ahmad Tiwana, Director General Broadening Tax Base Tanvir Ahmed and Director General Withholding Tax will also attend the meeting.

Through a letter, Chief Operations-I Aftab Alam has directed and conveyed to all chief commissioners Inland Revenue, Large Tax Payers Units, Regional Tax Offices and Corporate Tax Offices about the conference.

He further directed all heads of the Inland Revenue field formations that a presentation on the prescribed format shall be given by the chief commissioners. He has requested to all chief commissioners that soft copy of the presentation may be emailed to the board at earliest. He has instructed that timely submission of the presentation may please be ensured which will give sufficient time to Board to review.
