The event helped in projecting the knowledge and skills of trainees to a large number of ECD&E practitioners, trainers, Montessori teachers, partners and stakeholders. It further provided them with a platform for feedback and continuous quality improvement.

Commenting on the teaching aids presentenced at the six developed learning corners (EPL, Sensorial, Math, Language, Culture and Music & Art), chief guest Samina Javed, Project Manager ECD Center of Excellence, emphasized the importance of early childhood education and appreciated Hashoo Foundation’s efforts to promote it.

While chief guest Arshmah Jamih, Research & Communication Manager, Global Network, stated, “One of our main focus as a nation is to enlighten people about the importance of early years and we need to take concrete steps at the grassroots level towards this aim. I appreciate Hashoo Foundation’s commitment and believe that this initiative will go a long way towards the fulfillment of our aim”.

Sulaiman Dhanani, Country Director, Hashoo Foundation said: “Hashoo Foundation is committed to improve literacy in Pakistan and is running numerous projects to achieve this objective. We are focused and committed towards our youth and we believe in investing in them for a better Pakistan.”

Research has shown that children enrolled in Head Start programs benefit by receiving formal education before kindergarten. According to some studies, children in these programs are more behaved and have higher IQ scores upon enrolling kindergarten than their peers without formal education. Therefore, Hashoo Foundation has taken an initiative to promote this concept all over Pakistan.
