Hasil Bizenjo promises to lower taxes on shipping industry

KARACHI: Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo has said that heavy taxes are imposed on shipping industry in the country.

The minister visited Pakistan Marine Academy and lauded its performance for bringing up the professional cadets for the shipping industry.

He said that the present government is very keen to upgrade and develop all the sectors of the ports and shipping whereas the Pakistan Marine Academy will be provided any help whenever needed.

Being an important industry the Ports & Shipping Ministry is in talk with the government for lowering the taxes to generate more revenue and boost up the activities as in the country shipping is the only industry on which heavy taxes are imposed, Senator Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo added

Federal Minister for Ports & Shipping whiling addressing the event said that the Gwadar  Port is being built on a fast track pace. In the upcoming days Gwadar Port will become the backbone of the country to generate unexpected revenue.

He said that the government is also in talk with the Balochistan government to line up their key officers as soon they will be inducted on the important sector to deal with the issues of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He said that federal government has already promised Balochistan government for injecting the masses of the province in the important project like China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
