Hazara Customs generates Rs186.43m of all duties, taxes, surcharges during July FY2017-18

HAZARA: The Customs Hazara station received Rs186.43million of All Duties, Taxes and surcharges during July FY2017-18.

Explaining details, sources of Customs Station Hazara told Customs Today that the collection of Customs Duty was estimated as Rs43.04million during July FY17-18 while it earned Rs0.01million of With Holding (WH) Surcharge. The Hazara Customs got Rs4.55million of miscellaneous duties, taxes and surcharges.
Sources said that, during above said period, the Hazara generated Rs0.25million of Redemption Duty (RD) on imports while it did Rs0.02million Sales Tax (ST). And the Hazara earned Rs81.89million of ST on palm oil. The sources further told CT that, during July FY17-18, the Hazara station got Rs32.66million of Additional Income Tax (AIT) whereas it did Rs6.01million of Federal Excise Duty on imports.
The Hazara station received Rs868.28million of All Duties and Taxes during FY2016-17. The Hazara collected Rs258.85million under the head of CD while it did Rs22.07million under the head of miscellaneous taxes and surcharges and it collected Rs0.75million under the head of WH surcharge.
The sources said that, during FY16-17, the Hazara generated Rs1.49million under the head of RD on imports whereas it did Rs1.17million under the head of Sales Tax and the Hazara earned Rs397.06million under the head of ST on import of palm oil.
Sources told Customs Today that, during FY16-17, the Hazara received Rs158.34million under the head of AIT while it did Rs28.55million under the head of FED on imports of Rs01 per kilogram.
