Hazara Customs generates Rs868.28m of all duty & taxes during FY2016-17

HAZARA: The Customs Station Hazara, working under the umbrella of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Peshawar, earned worth Rs868.28million of All Duty and Taxes during the Financial Year (FY) 2016-17.

According to details told by sources of Hazara that during the Financial Year FY16-17, the Hazara Station collected Rs258.85million of Customs Duty (CD) whereas it did Rs22.07million of miscellaneous taxes and surcharges. During above said period, it received Rs0.75million of Withholding (WH) Surcharge.
During FY2016-17, the Hazara generated Rs1.49million of Redemption Duty (RD) on Imports whereas it did Rs1.17million of Sales Tax. The Hazara got Rs397.06million of ST on Import of palm oil. Sources told CT that during FY16-17, the Hazara earned Rs158.34million of Additional Income Tax (AIT) while it did Rs28.55million of Federal Excise Duty on Imports of Rs01 per kilogram.
The Hazara Station earned worth Rs93.05million of All Duty and Taxes during the month of May Financial Year (FY) 2016-17. It collected Rs25.96million of Customs Duty (CD) whereas the Hazara did Rs2.43million of miscellaneous taxes and surcharges during said period of May FY2016-17.
The sources further told Customs Today that during May, the Hazara received Rs0.15million of Regulatory Duty (RD) while it did Rs43.74million of ST VM palm oil. During said period, the Hazara Station got Rs17.74million of Additional Income Tax (AIT) and it did Rs3.03million of Federal Excise Duty on Imports (FEDI).
The Customs Station Hazara generated Rs117.99million of All Duty and Taxes and surcharges during the month of April FY2016-17 while it did Rs47.94million of all duty and taxes and surcharges during the 1st to 15th of April FY2016-17.
