Hazara Customs Station stays surplus with more revenue than yesteryear’s take

PESHAWAR: The Model Customs Collectorate of Customs House Peshawar has received Rs78.356million from the Hazara Customs Station during the whole month of August 2017-18.

The Customs was able to receive Rs70.356million during August FY 2016-17.
The sources at the Customs House Peshawar informed Customs Today on Wednesday at the MMC Peshawar that, during the previous month of August, the collection increased compared to the month of July.
The Hazara Customs collected Rs72.356million during the month of July FY2017-18. So the Hazara Customs has got more amount than the collections of the previous  months. The Hazara Customs Station collected Rs26.5966million Customs Duty during August FY2017-18 in which it did RD of Rs0.1241million and received Rs1.8391million revenue by auctioning off miscellaneous goods.
In the same way, the Hazara Customs Station has generated Rs1.097million as Sales Tax during the month of August 2017-18 and did Rs33.0883million of revenue by the ST on VM Palm oil.
The Hazara Customs Station received Rs14.194million of A.I.T on items and did the Federal Excise Duty of Rs2.3791million during the previous month of August FY2017-18. The sources at the Customs House Peshawar lauded the performance of the Hazara Customs Station and hoped for further increase in the revenue collection throughout the FY2017-18. It is hoped that the said station will keep the pace of collection in the future also.
