Hazara Motorway to become operational by end 2017

ISLAMABAD: The construction work on the Hazara Motorway is in full swing and it will become operational by December 2017.

Talking to APP an official of National Highway Authority (NHA) said that work on the first two packages would be completed by March 2017, while the package III would be completed by December next year. He said that the 59 km Burhan-Havelian section of motorway forming part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor would cost Rs 30 billion.

To a question, he said that the Burhan-Havelian section starts from near Burhan Inter Change of the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway (M-1) and concludes at Havelian.
