KARACHI: Trade activities in Pakistan’s business hub Karachi halted due to heavy rains, causing billions of rupees loss to national exchequer. Due to rain electricity supply is also affected and people are not getting electricity according to scheduled timing.
Low attendance was being witnessed in factories, and productions cells. It is pertinent to mention here, that there are twenty thousand SMEs working in SITE and Korangi areas, while 50 percent areas of this particular locality is getting electricity while the rest of the area is without electricity.
As waste is filled in water pipes, this causes interruption in smooth supply of water to consumers. Now country’s economy have to bear the loss of billions of rupees.
