Heroin smuggler awarded 11 years imprisonment

LAHORE: The Special Court of Anti-Narcotics has sentenced a smuggler to 11 years imprisonment after finding him guilty in a heroin smuggling case.

According to the details, an accused, Rasheed Mughal, was arrested by the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) while he was making attempt to smuggle 11 kilogram of heroin. He was aiming at smuggling the heroin to a Gulf country through a private airline.

The ANF team presented him before the court of Abdul Jabbar Khan with complete challan as well. The court in its verdict announced 11 years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 130,000.

Th court has also ordered to pay the fine within given time otherwise he will have to face more jail for six months.
