WASHINGTON: Electron beam (e-beam) inspection tool and solution provider Hermes Microvision (HMI) has announced November revenues of NT$432 million (US$13.2 million), representing a 101% jump sequentially.

On an annual basis, however, HMI’s November revenues were down 44.4% compared to the same period in 2014. The company’s cumulative 2015 revenues through November totaled NT$5.57 billion, down 0.9% from a year earlier.

Market watchers expect HMI to post another sequential growth of over 100% in December revenues, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report. HMI’s revenues are being boosted by recognized sales generated from orders placed by Intel and Micron Technology, said the report.

In fact, HMI’s 2015 revenues until October were still a disappointment, due mainly to deferred shipments of some equipment at the request of its US clients, according to previous reports.

Nevertheless, a recent Commercial Times report quoted market watchers saying that HMI’s monthly revenues will return to an on-year growth track in 2016 thanks to robust demand for advanced-node chip manufacturing from Intel and TSMC.

HMI has declined to comment on the reports, and advised investors to refer to company announcements through the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) for financial information.
