Holden launches prices & spec of SV6 Lightning series: SV6 Ute-manual for $37,490, SV6 Ute- auto for $39,690, SV6 Sedan-manual for $38,290, SV6 Sedan-auto for $40,940

MELBOURNE: Holden has launched the prices and specification of its new Lightning SUV series. The Lightning Ute-manual for $37,490, Lightning SV6 Ute-auto will be available in $39,690, Lightning SV6 Sedan-manual priced to be $38,290 and Lightning SV6 Sedan-auto is priced at $40,940.

Enhancements for the Lightning models include 20-inch forged alloys, a gloss black finish to the grille frame and fender vents.

The ute gets a slimline tonneau, while the sedan adds black graphics on the doors, a gloss black lip spoiler and, in the auto, alloy sports pedals.

As with the regular models, power is provided by a 210kW/350Nm petrol six.

Sales for the Commodore range, although strong at 4,301 for the year-to-date, have tapered off against the 5,141 achieved over the same period in 2014.

February brought a relatively strong showing however, the Commodore managing 2,517 against 2,777 for the same period last year.
