When it comes to the product development, Honda Civic is expected to get a significant line-up of downsized turbo-charged mills as well as a new platform. The CEO also said that the mainline products like CR-V and Accord will undergo a major change in the future. It is expected that both the cars will be up to the mark as far as the technological aspects are concerned. Also, their styling is to be significantly modified and would characterise modern aspects. The CEO said that the successor to FCX Clarity will be launched in the Japanese market by the end of Financial Year 2015-16.

Also, Nigeria has become the first African country to assemble Honda cars. Honda Accord will be assembled in the country for the first time in July. Takahiro also said that the company would begin deliveries for the HF120 jet engines later in 2015. Honda is expected to launch the Accord in India during the summers of 2016. Initially, it will come only with the petrol engine with a slight chance of hybrid powertrain being launched. A new seven-seater small SUV will also be developed as the BR-V and is expected to debut at Auto Expo 2016. It will be based on Mobilio platform and engines and will probably be launched next year.
