TOKYO: HONDA has renovated its Civic Hatch for 2015, with prices rising $500 in the process. The headline change is “Agile Handling Assist System” safety technology. This system works with Vehicle Stability Assist and can help support the vehicle’s stability and performance during cornering by lightly applying the brakes during cornering.

Outside, the Civic Hatch receives a number of redesigned exterior components: front and rear bumpers, grille, side molding and rear spoiler.

The range also receives as standard guided tube daytime running lights and guided tube tail lights. The VTi-L and VTi-LN grades will also receive front and rear parking sensors.

Inside, the most notable upgrade is the addition of Honda’s Display Audio System enabling Bluetooth connectivity, audio streaming, mirroring functionality (compatible iPhone only) and display of the reversing camera.

The VTi-LN also features Display Audio with built-in satellite navigation.  It also receives a new passenger side dash garnish, sporty seat fabric (VTi-S and VTi-L grades), new stitching and chrome accents on the door panels.

“The Civic nameplate has such a long history around the world,” said Honda Australia director Stephen Collins.

“It has been an Australian favourite for over 40 years. This year, it receives enhanced styling and more specification, ensuring it will remain a favourite.”
