HONG KONG: Hong Kong and China stocks ended higher as much-anticipated European Central Bank policy meeting that is predict to agree to establish more economic reduction measures.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index on Thursday added 170.05 points, or 0.7 per cent, to 24,522.63 on turnover of $HK99.46 billion ($A15.86 billion).
In mainland China, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.59 per cent, or 19.73 points, to 3,343.34 on turnover of 407.9 billion yuan ($A81.20 billion).
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, gained 1.19 per cent, or 17.99 points, to 1,530.28 on turnover of 288.4 billion yuan.
