HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks opened slightly higher Wednesday, looking likely to extend its winning streak to a third straight session.
In the final full day of trade before the Christmas break, the benchmark Hang Seng Index edged up 0.2 per cent to 21,869.4. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, or H-share index, also rose 0.2 per cent to 9,754.94.
Hong Kong markets will be open for half-day session on Thursday and closed for the Christmas holiday on Friday.
