HONG KONG: Hong Kong’s equities market lost 0.46 percent in the morning session Wednesday, in line with a regional downturn as investors await the end of a Federal Reserve policy meeting later in the day.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index dipped 130.76 points to 28,311.99 by lunch on turnover of HK$90.06 billion ($11.62 billion).
In mainland China the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.35 percent, or 15.79 points, to 4,460.43.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, added 1.65 percent, or 36.34 points, to 2,244.90.
