HONG KONG: Shares in Hong Kong eased slightly soon after opening Friday following a soft lead from Wall Street while Shanghai was also lower on concerns about Chinese corporate earnings.
The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong dipped 0.50 percent, or 114.94 points, to 22,705.00.
And in Shanghai the benchmark composite index eased 0.21 percent, or 7.04 points, to 3,380.28.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, edged down 0.17 percent, or 3.33 points, to 2,011.07.
