HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks fell 0.20 percent in the first few minutes of trade Tuesday following losses on Wall Street as Greece and its creditors struggle to reach a debt reform deal.
The Hang Seng Index eased 54.14 points to 26,807.67. In mainland China the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 1.44 percent, or 73.09 points, to 4,989.90.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, fell 2.01 percent, or 61.71 points, to 3,011.36.
