HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks slipped 1.17 percent in the early exchanges Tuesday, after a rally of almost 15 percent in the previous eight sessions that has seen the city’s index hit a more than seven-year high.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 328.08 points to 27,688.26.
In mainland China the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.60 percent, or 24.55 points, to 4,097.17.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China’s second exchange, lost 0.56 percent, or 12.29 points, to 2,175.44.
