HOUSTON: US Customs and Border Protection has named Roderick Hudson as new area port director for the Houston and Galveston regions.
Hudson will be responsible for overseeing Customs and Border Protection port operations in Port Arthur, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, Freeport, Galveston and Houston, the agency said.
“I recognize the importance of the Texas seaports to the nation’s economy and the shared responsibility to keep them secured,” Hudson said in a statement.
Hudson recently transferred to Houston from Miami, where he worked at the Miami International Airport as assistant port director for tactical operations for Customs and Border Protection. In Houston, he was briefly the assistant port director for tactical operations before his promotion.
