JOHANNESBURG: HTC One M8 owners in South Africa are in for a sweet treat today as the Android 5.0 Lollipop update rolls out.
The update, which is roughly 780MBs in size, brings a host of new features to the Android platform.
Major Lollipop features include prioritised notifications, a battery saving mode, support for RAW photography, a tweaked lockscreen and a greater emphasis on privacy.
HTC has also bundled its own Sense user-interface with the Lollipop update.
It’s not the first smartphone in South Africa to get Lollipop however, as LG pipped almost everyone to the post with the G3.
