NEW DELHI: Huawei has just unveiled that it managed to sell more than 48 million devices in the first half of 2015, and now the smartphone maker has unveiled a brand new device that is aimed at the mass market. The Huawei Honor 4A will get its juice from a 2,200mAh battery and runs Android 5.1.1 with EMUI 3.1 on top. Now, the smartphone is officially official and, as promised, it has a pretty low price.

The high-end offering from the Chinese handset manufacturer boasts numerous features that make it quite the desirable everyday unit for most people. Huawei’s Honor 4X has been received fairly well and Honor 7, which was well received in China, can now be ordered by Indians. The Honor 4A will be offered in a 3G-only variation costing CNY 599 ($96, €88), as well as two 4G LTE-enabled versions going for CNY 699 ($112, €102).

At the moment, the Huawei Honor 4A release is only scheduled for China, but it’s the type of device we could see hit other regions due to its build and price. The phone is no slouch as well with the flagship powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 935 Octa-core processor, Quad 2.2GHz Cortex A53, and Quad 1.5GHz Cortex A53, coupled with 3GB of RAM, and a Mail-T628 GPU. Furthermore, the smartphone has been confirmed to sport a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

On the back of the handset there’s an 8 MP primary shooter with autofocus, LED flash, and video recording, while the front panel accommodates a 2 MP Selfie cam. Would you be tempted to buy one if it becomes available in your country?
